The global experience in El Salvador was more than learning about a culture we were unfamiliar with, it was about gaining trust and building relationships.
The 12 students and 2 professors that made this trip to El Salvador were instrumental in changing the way that I look at others and the dilemmas that come with the lives of the people with whom social workers interact.

The students taking this course ranged from newly accepted social work students to Masters graduates. I highly recommend travel abroad to students just entering the field of social work because it is an eye opening course that will change your view of
Social Work.
